Your caster offset looks large, so you should have no trouble with trailing correctly, but snap might be large also.
The top of the wheel frame is not horizontal, but since that is not the pivot point, it doesn't matter.
Because you have spare threaded rod,  you can adjust the caster height easily.
  Is it ok if I borrow these pictures for my summer training classes?

Yes, it certainly has no problem trailing correctly... however, I'm not seeing too bad of a caster snap. It switches directions in 180 degrees without skipping a beat. I could change it easily though if that posed a problem later. One reason why it may not snap much right now is because the CG is a good deal behind the caster - practically nothing much over that side of the robot.
